Kennington Library to re-open on Wednesday 14th October!!

Welcome Back!

We know how much you have missed your library, and Dominique, Leila and the volunteers thank you for your messages of support and are looking forward to seeing you back in our safe library.

We are really looking forward to welcoming you however the most important thing is if you or anyone at home has symptoms of Coronavirus even if mild, Please do not enter the library.  Ask a family member, friend or neighbour to collect or return your items instead. Help us to keep staff, volunteers and customers safe and avoid further library closures.

From the 14th October things will be a little different. You will be greeted at the village centre doors by a volunteer and will be asked to follow the protocol of the new normal when visiting the library. We encourage shorter visits, max 15 minutes, and please don’t forget your library card or your face covering/mask. For now the library hours will have to be shortened and we will now be closing at 5pm Mondays and Fridays. Wednesday and Saturday morning opening hours remain the same. We hope that these changes will only be temporary and will keep you informed of any changes.
The full measures of how we are keeping you safe in our library are on the libraries services website (https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/residents/leisure-and-culture/libraries/reopening-libraries – scroll down to “key changes”) .

Please do come back to our library! Your local library. The books have missed you! We have a good selection of books and plenty of new ones have arrived. Dominique and Leila have missed you too, an empty library is just a room full of books, all our lovely library members are what brings it to life.

Bring on the 14th October!
